What is the Volunteer Ambassador Program?

Our flagship initiative, the Volunteer Ambassadors Program, offers a free, no-commitment platform for individuals to engage in monthly volunteer events. This program connects volunteers with diverse opportunities to contribute their time and skills without the pressure of long-term commitments.

By participating in regular volunteering events and social activities, ambassadors spread enthusiasm and encourage others to get involved. This inclusive program is perfect for families, children, youth, people with disabilities, and seniors, fostering a diverse and supportive volunteer community. Become a Volunteer Ambassador!

Our Volunteer Ambassadors spread cheer and inspire others to lend a helping hand in their communities. As a Volunteer Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Inspire Others Share your passion for volunteering and encourage community involvement.
  • Join Group Activities Participate in group volunteering events organized by Captain Scott or partner organizations.
  • Support Key Initiatives Help promote volunteering among children, youth, people with disabilities, and seniors.

When you apply as a Volunteer Ambassador, you will receive monthly emails about family-friendly and inclusive group volunteering events that you can sign yourself and your family and friends up for.

People of all ages and abilities are welcome to apply. During event sign-ups, you'll have the opportunity to specify any accommodations you may need.

Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check Depending on the event, you may be asked to undergo a Criminal Record Check, which will be covered by Captain Scott Legacy Society.
  • For Applicants Under 19 A parent or guardian must fill out and sign the application form alongside the youth applicant.
  • For Youth Under 14 Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (19+ years old) at every event, unless alternative arrangements have been made with Captain Scott Legacy Society.
